Exports of finished rolled steel from China in December totaled 5.556 million tons, which is 4.9% more than in the previous month, but 2% less than in the previous year, preliminary data released on Monday by the PRC General Administration showed.Exports rebounded in December after falling for two months in a row, as orders abroad in October and November improved simultaneously with falling prices for Chinese steel.
In general, in 2018, exports of steel from China amounted to 69.336 million tons, which is 8.1% less than in 2017.
