Last week, purchase prices for ferrous scrap remained unchanged. At the moment, the average market purchase price of the factories is 5800 UAH/ton. The current quotes are at an acceptable level for metallurgical enterprises, as the profitability of raw materials purchases remains above the standard value.Deliveries to metallurgical plants
Ferrous scrap supplies to the factories decreased to 57.6 thousand tons, which is 1.9 thousand tons or 3.2% less than a week earlier.

Ferrous scrap stocks in the ports of Ukraine increased to 1.2 thousand tons.
Dynamics of steel smelting
Steel production fell to 428 thousand tons, which is 3 thousand tons or 0.7% less than a week earlier.
Warehouse stocks of ferrous scrap at metallurgical plants
The level of satisfaction of the needs of metallurgical plants in imported ferrous scrap was 95%. There is a shortage in the market, forcing factories to consume inventory. Remains of ferrous scrap in the factories' warehouses dropped to 96 thousand tons. Inventories in working days dropped to 10 days, which is slightly below the standard value.
Domestic ferrous scrap price forecast
After the price increase, steelmakers will pause to assess the effect on supplies. Most likely, buyers will continue to hold prices unchanged. The forecasted average price for the next week is 5800 UAH/ton.
