Scrap supplies continue to decline amid a very weak scrap collection in the country's regions. Over the last week about 35 thousand tons were shipped to the plants, which is the minimum value for the last two years.

Scrap stocks in the ports of Ukraine have decreased and currently amount to 5.5 thousand tons.
Dynamics of steelmaking.
Steel production rose to 432 thousand tons, which is 4% more than a week earlier. MK Zaporizhstal has significantly increased production, having smelted about 84 thousand tons in the last week (+ 17% from the previous week).
The balance of scrap at the plants.
The level of satisfaction of the needs of metallurgical plants in imported scrap amounted to 62%. The shortage has been increasing for the sixth week in a row, forcing factories to consume stocks.
Stocks of scrap at iron and steel works.
Remains of scrap in the warehouses of factories fell to 102 thousand tons. The inventory indicator in work days was 12 days, which corresponds to the standard value. The rapid reduction in stocks will soon force the plants to move to an active increase in purchase prices.
Forecast domestic price for scrap.
In the coming weeks, steel mills will hold another increase in scrap quotations amid rising prices for metal and still very low scrap scrap productivity. The forecast average price next week is 6900 UAH / ton.
