Turkey has won a lawsuit against the United States in the World Trade Organization (WTO) due to the rise of Washington's customs duties on Turkish steel and aluminum. Turkish Trade Minister Rukhsar Pekdzhan said this, Anadolu agency reports.
On December 18, Turkey won the suit against the United States, which was considered under the Dispute Settlement Mechanism (MFA) in the World Trade Organization (WTO) system. Earlier, Turkey has won a similar suit against Morocco, Pekjan said.
In March of this year, US President Donald Trump introduced import duties on steel and aluminum from Turkey in the amount of 25% and 10% respectively, and in August - doubled them.
